YEAR OF THE RAT, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The conditions that are listed below contain terms that are used regularly and may need explanation. They are as follows:
“The Artist”
The individuals who have been enrolled by the seller to create an ‘original work of art’ for Parnell Year of the Rat 2020, which will be adapted to suit the 3 components of the campaign.
“Original work of art”
The original work created by the artist and not a digitised image or print.
“Parnell Year of the Rat campaign (RAT ART 2020)”
The 3 components of the campaign are as follows:-
“Limited edition digital prints”
Prints of the artists original work will be digitally printed and available in a maximum limited edition of 21, with size and paper reference as published. They will be available online via parnell.net.nz to purchase, in aid of Starship – Air Ambulance Service. Each limited edition print will be individually numbered for the purchasers reference.
“The Seller”
Parnell Business Association, as pertaining to the limited edition digital prints only.
“The Buyer”
The person who purchases one or more of the limited edition digital prints and/or an Original works of Art piece.
“The Purchase Price of limited edition digital prints”
The amount at which has been set by the seller based on the fact these works are limited editions and raising money for charity. That price being $200.00 (Inc GST) which is payable via an online transaction with PayPal.
The buyer is responsible for any relevant bank fees and charges applicable. PayPal T’s and C’s apply.
Online and Other Descriptions
All statements by the Parnell Business Association around the product, event or art piece, or made orally or in writing elsewhere, are statements of opinion and are not to be relied upon as statements of fact. Such statements do not constitute a representation, warranty or assumption of liability by the Parnell Business Association of any kind. The Parnell Business Association is not responsible for any errors or omissions in any supplemental material.
All images online available for purchase are provided only as a guide and should not be relied upon as an exact representation of colour. The Seller is not liable for variations between the on-screen colour as it appears to the buyer and the final colour of the limited edition digital print. Images are not shown at a standard scale.
Buyers Responsibility
All limited edition digital prints are for sale without representation or warranty of any kind by Parnell Business Association or the Artist.
All sales are undertaken on the basis of General Sales Conditions and every order and/or acceptance of order confirmation transmitted implies the complete and unconditional acceptance by the buyer.
The buyer is responsible for supplying correct contact details at the point of purchase from which the seller can make contact once the prints arrive.
Online Purchase Process of limited edition digital prints
There is no limit to purchasing one or more of the limited edition digital prints available online at the time of purchase (other than the limited edition nature of the available prints themselves) as buying preferences will no doubt depend on preference of works and artists. The online purchasing opportunity is open until 7pm Wed 19th February 2020.
Process between Online Purchase and Delivery of limited edition digital prints.
At 7pm Wednesday 19th February 2020, the online purchasing of limited edition digital prints will close. All prints that have been purchased up till that point will then be ordered, printed and delivered locally within a maximum of 3 weeks of the 20th February.
*Please note, based on this that if you are purchasing for an immediate deadline, a gift etc. expectations need to be managed.
Collection of Purchases and Shipping
It is our preference that limited edition digital prints are collected from The Parnell Business Association. 2 York Street, Parnell. Alternatively for those who reside outside of Auckland or have confirmed the need for shipping, the print/s will be rolled up and delivered in a tube.
Shipping outside of New Zealand will be at the buyers expense and will jointly be arranged following purchase and ordering of printed items.
Recommended carriers are Pack & Send.
Limited edition digital prints will be delivered without framing etc, but Artmount & Framing Matters in Parnell will be offering competitive prices if you’d like to organise framing of your purchase directly through them.
Failure to Collect Purchases
Where purchases are not collected within 3 weeks from the pick-up date organised between the Parnell Business Association and The Buyer, whether or not payment has been made, the Parnell Business Association shall be permitted to remove the work to a warehouse at the buyer’s expense, and only release the items after payment in full has been made of removal, storage handling, and any other costs incurred, together with payment of all other amounts due.
Exhibition of Original works of Art
The Original works of art created by the artists will be available for purchase at Jonathan Grant Galleries, 280 Parnell Road, between February 13th – 16th 2020, at a set price determined directly by the artist, based on their market rate and reputation. All art works for sale will be sold “as is” without representation or warranty of any kind by Parnell Business Association or the Artist. Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves concerning the condition of the item and will conduct the transaction via the gallery.
General
By purchasing limited edition works as a part of Chinese New Year – Year of the Rat in Parnell, you agree to communication from the Parnell Business Association on general news and items we think you may be interested in.
The Parnell Business Association reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
